Join Head Butcher Heather Thomason for a whole hog breakdown upstairs at Kensington Quarters. She'll demonstrate whole animal butchering techniques and share information on various cuts and best cooking methods using a side of woodlot pork. Guests will also sample sparking wine and bites from the Kensington Quarters in-house charcuterie program.
The hog will come from North Mountain Pastures in Perry County, Pennsylvania. They sell pastured pork, pastured chicken, pastured turkeys, and grassfed lamb and beef, as well as artisan cured meats. Learn more about their husbandry and farming practices here.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Fair Food, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing local food to the marketplace and promoting sustainable agriculture in the Delaware Valley region.
